Slow ride on the endless wave
I can fly right into the sun
I’m swimmin’ in a fiery sea of fuzz
High tide for the lunar brains
Speaking in the mystic’s tongue
I’m topplin’ the mountain just because
Keep on rollin’
Don’t pay me no mind
Keep on rollin’ alright
The world wants to fit you for your grave
Build a box for you sleep
Heavy Heaven raining thunder from above
But I’m never gonna be their slave
I’m a fox among the sheep
I stay living with a fire in my blood
Keep on rollin’
Don’t pay me no mind
Keep on rollin’ alright
where I’m goin’
I’m lookin’ to fly
Keep on rollin’ alright
The sky calls me nearly every day
I could fly right into the sun
I’m swimmin’ in a sea of fiery fuzz
I’m living in the purple haze
Leave the chains behind and run
I’m buzz in’ off the sweet electric love
Keep on rollin’
Don’t pay me no mind
Keep on rollin’ alright
where I’m goin’
I’m lookin’ to fly
Keep on rollin’ alright
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
Trailblazing psych duo White Hills return with another batch of bottom-heavy stoner-y anthems submerged in 200 tons of guitar. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 17, 2022
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
