I know you're lurking in the shadows
I can't see you but I feel you on my skin
In my brain, try to drive to me to the gallows
frozen autumn hear your cackle in the wind
I awaken, the strike of midnight
paralyzed in a dreadful, icy sweat
'cause I'm afraid that the Devil's got a daughter
and he sent her out collecting on his debts
I begged her to leave me
you know I begged her to leave me alone
but she laughed in my face
and she followed me all the way home
witch in the cellar, she knows
won't let me leave it behind
witch in the cellar, she knows
taking control over my mind
I wanted riches, I wanted power
I let you temp me with the nectar from your fruit
and now I'm paying for the sins of my decisions
my soul is burning and there's nothing I can do
I begged her to leave me
you know I begged her to leave me alone
but she laughed in my face
and she moved right into my home
witch in the cellar, she knows
wont let me leave it behind
witch in the cellar, she knows
taking control over my mind
you know your spell has infected my heart
nothing can help when the magic's this dark
you know your spell has infected my heart
I should have known, should have known from the start
won't you please let me, please let me go
witch in the cellar, she knows
wont let me leave it behind
witch in the cellar, she knows
taking control over my mind

OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
